Terms of Use
Last updated: April 18, 2026.
These Terms govern your use of obrienimmigration.com and related subdomains (the "Site"), operated by O'Brien Immigration, PC ("we," "our," or "the firm"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
Attorney Advertising and No Legal Advice
The content on this Site is attorney advertising under California Rule of Professional Conduct 7.2 and is intended for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site is legal advice, and nothing you read here should be acted upon without first consulting a qualified immigration attorney who has reviewed the facts of your specific situation.
Immigration law changes frequently. While we try to keep the Site current, we make no representation that all information is up to date. Do not rely on anything you read here as a substitute for personal legal advice.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Contacting the firm through this Site — whether by consultation request, contact form, chat widget, email, phone, or any other means — does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement.
Please do not send us confidential or time-sensitive information (for example, details of pending deadlines, A-numbers, or sensitive case facts) until we have confirmed in writing that we are able to represent you. Information sent before we have agreed to represent you may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege.
Consultation Fees
Consultation fees are disclosed when you book a consultation. Fees are credited toward a retainer if you subsequently hire the firm. The fee covers the consultation itself only — not representation, a legal opinion letter, or ongoing case strategy unless we have signed an engagement agreement.
AI-Assisted Chat Widget
If we have enabled the AI chat widget on the Site, it uses artificial intelligence trained on publicly available information about our firm and general immigration concepts. The chat is not a lawyer, cannot give legal advice, and is not a substitute for a consultation. Do not share case-specific details with it. We log chat conversations to improve service and identify gaps in our public information.
No Guarantees
Immigration outcomes depend on facts, law, and decisions made by government agencies and courts. We cannot and do not guarantee any outcome in your case. Any prior results described on the Site do not guarantee a similar outcome in future matters.
Intellectual Property
The Site, including its text, graphics, the O'Brien Immigration compass mark and logo, and overall design, is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may download and share content for your personal, non-commercial use, but you may not reproduce it commercially, republish it on other websites, or use our trademarks without our written permission.
Links to Third-Party Sites
The Site may link to government websites (USCIS, EOIR), community organizations, or other resources. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Links are provided for convenience only.
Jurisdiction
The firm is licensed to practice in California and appears in immigration courts nationwide. If you are outside California, by contacting us you acknowledge that (a) whether we can represent you may depend on the court or agency involved, and (b) you are not relying on us as your attorney until we have signed an engagement letter.
Accessibility
We strive to make the Site accessible to all users. If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, please contact us and we will work with you to provide the information you need in an alternative format.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
